What is tallow and why do you use it?
Tallow is rendered fat from grass-fed cattle. It has been used for centuries as a skin nourisher because its fatty acid profile closely mirrors that of human skin. It is naturally rich in Vitamins A, D, E, and K — nutrients that support skin barrier function, hydration, and renewal. We use only 100% grass-fed tallow, which is more nutrient-dense and ethically sourced than conventional alternatives.
Is tallow safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. Tallow is one of the most biocompatible ingredients for human skin. Because its structure is so similar to our own skin’s sebum, it absorbs easily without clogging pores and is generally very well tolerated, even by sensitive skin types.
What is jojoba oil and why is it in your products?
Jojoba oil is technically a liquid wax that closely mimics the skin’s natural oils. It is lightweight, non-comedogenic, and deeply moisturizing. It helps balance oil production, soothes irritation, and enhances the absorption of other nourishing ingredients.
Are your products vegan?
Our tallow-based products are not vegan, as they contain animal-derived ingredients. We are fully transparent about this. We believe in honest sourcing and use only grass-fed, ethically raised tallow. If you have questions about specific products, please reach out.
Are your products tested on animals?
Never. We do not test on animals.
Are your products made in Canada?
Yes. Every product is handcrafted in small batches in Canada.
